Head Development Designer - POS/POP - Retail - Midlands - £45k

This really is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading supplier to the POS/POP retail sector. Finanicially stable and renowned throughout their marketplace, they currently require someone to head up the development design team.

The Head Development Designer will lead a team and be primarily responsible for the design and viability of permanent POS/POS units including metal work. You will liaise extensively throughout the business including dealing with Estimating, Creative Design, Production, Mould Shop and Tool Room departments. You will assume the following responsibilities:

Create feasible designs for manufacture, whilst maintaining the original intent

Ensure all deadlines are met

Provide technical support for other team members

Develop and produce prototypes to an exceptional standard

Produce accurate instruction sheets within required deadlines

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

A cost effective unitary to meet client expectations

Relevant IT skills to include Solid Works, Auto Cad and Internal IT systems

Ability to communicate at all levels

Ability to monitor and evaluate your own performance against key objectives and targets on a continual basis

Good time-keeping and excellent prioritising skills

Solid background within the retails and POS industry
