We're looking for a well-rounded and hands-on Production Manager to join our client's excellent print and finishing team.

Your role would be to manage the staff and workflow, plus ensure all work is produced and dispatched on time and to specification.

As a company that prides themselves on the service they provide to their customers, they seek a team player who enjoys getting the job done on time and to the correct specification for every project.

Due to the nature of their business, they need to work extended hours and weekends from time-to-time to meet deadlines, as a result, the successful Production Manager will need to occasionally fulfil these hours and at the very least ensure his/her team undertake and understand these responsibilities.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum 2 years management experience in a similar role
• Ideally 5 years hand finishing experience
• Ideally 2 years Zund (or equivalent) experience
• Computer literate (for communicating and placing orders)
• Excellent organisational skills

• Good problem-solving skills

• Good people management skills

• Flexible to work out of hours when required
• Versatile and adaptable
• Positive and ambitious attitude
• Very hands on

Additional Experience (preferred but not essential)

• Print production experience

• Installation Experience

• Knowledge of running Vutek, Acuity Flatbed UV & HP Latex printers

Duties

• Schedule and manage workflow advising other departments on capacity
• Brief in and distribute tasks to the production team to meet deadlines
• Quality Control
• Manage production teams’ attendance and leave.
• Working with project managers to select appropriate production methods

• Keep the production team working within H&S guidelines
• Maintaining uptime of all production equipment with maintenance and servicing

• Stock Management - Ordering and organising of stock and materials

• Mounting, Laminating, weeding, vinyl application, hand trimming

• Hands on running of production equipment: Zund, vinyl cutter.
